Technology Showcase

The MAET program was a great place for me to sharpen the technology skills I already possessed while gaining a plethora of new skills along the way. Check out the links below to see a few examples.

Web 2.0 tools are a valuable resource for anyone much less an educator. The abundance of free tools available on the web is astounding. In CEP 810, I was able to use Prezi to create my Personal Technology Plan. I used Prezi in numerous other classes as well.  Wordle is a fun word cloud generating tool that I utilized in many classes as well.

A Stand Alone Instructional Resource is an instructional resource that can be created by using Microsoft PowerPoint. The instructional resource focuses on a specific learning objective and provides students the opportunity to work through the lesson independently. The STAIR functions similarly to an online learning module. I created a STAIR in CEP 811 about cyber bullying.

Jing, Windows Moviemaker, and Animoto are three great tools that I have used in many classes. These programs could be stand alone lessons for students or used to enrich classroom instruction and directives.

During my time in the MAET program I kept track of my progress using Blogger from Google. Please visit http://mrjpatton.blogspot.com to view my Ed Tech blog and get a more in depth look of my work in the program.
